Data Scientist
Ali is a Turkey-based. Having knowledge in areas ranging through machine learning, time series analysis, and natural language processing (NLP). This, merged with the love of data and eagerness to help people, makes him a perfect fit at Arqaam.
He speaks Persian, English and Turkish.
Dr. Anna-Esther Younes
Researcher and Policy Writer
Anna is a Berlin-based independent researcher and academic focusing on critical theory, race critical theories, gender and sexuality, cultural theory, settler /colonial theories and psychoanalysis. She works as a lay-judge in Berlin and she still carries her dog Toni everywhere in hear heart. She strongly believes in not eating animals and believes that education and radical politics of emancipation are a way to improve this world.
She speaks German, English, French, and broken Arabic.
Ann-Katrina Bregović
Director/Founder
Katrina is the Lesotho-based M&E and Gender Expert. She founded Arqaam to make a difference in how businesses are run in an ethical way. She strongly believes in making informed decisions based on evidence and how we can harness technology and machine learning to create a positive impact in the world. Katrina strongly believes that we need to fight for a socially just world.
She speaks German and English.
Dr. Annika Schmeding
Researcher and Analyst
Annika is a cultural anthropologist and researcher based in Boston and Istanbul. She believes that social change can come through offering critical analysis and creating emancipatory political, social and cultural initiatives. Having worked in social circus projects from Afghanistan to Thailand, she believes that making knowledge accessible is a creative endeavor that necessitates understanding a multiplicity of perspectives.
She speaks German, Persian and English.
Barbra Giandinoto
Gender & Civil Society Expert
Barbra has been working for over 15 years in the nonprofit sector in Brazil. She lives between Italy, Barcelona and Rio de Janeiro where she is a director at a local women-lead organization that fights systemic racism and violence through cultural and educational projects. Barbra is a storyteller, an artist, a designer, a trans-activist and a thinker and believes the future is queer.
She speaks English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
Eric Warui
M&E Expert
Eric is a Monitoring and Evaluation enthusiast based in Kenya. He is passionate about working with community development projects because they possess the power to bring change. His skill-set includes:- designing digital data collection tools, data analysis & visualization, creating logframes and M&E systems.
He speaks Swahili and English.
Esther Odi Tieku
Junior M&E Expert
Esther, based in Accra, Ghana, is an emerging evaluator with over 4 years of diverse experience in both international and local consultancy-based monitoring and evaluation. She specializes in Natural Resources Management and possesses comprehensive expertise in Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation. Her deep understanding of global development issues encompasses rural development, sustainability, and social inequalities. Esther views evaluation as a transformative tool for creating impactful changes and believes in empowering organizations to address systemic challenges effectively.
She speaks English and Twi.
Francesca Varrenti
Graphic Designer
Francesca is a web and graphic designer based in Italy. She believes in the transformative power of design, which not only facilitates communication but also makes even the most complex ideas accessible and engaging. Much like architecture, where her journey began, design must be both aesthetically pleasing and functional, serving a purpose beyond its visual appeal.
She speaks Italian and English.
Giselle Ratalane
Researcher
Giselle is a Lesotho-based LGBTI, a womanist thinker, lobbyist, human rights researcher, and consultant with over 6 years of leading the Legal Gender Recognition lobby in Lesotho. She has a background in International Political Economy, fundraising, and international human rights mechanisms. Giselle believes in including and protecting gender and sexual minorities in legislation and envisions a world free of stigma and discrimination.
She speaks English, Sesotho, Spanish, and French.

Léa Pisier Moreux
Junior M&E Expert
Léa comes from France and currently lives in Germany. After studying law, politics and project management, she settled in Berlin and worked in journalism-oriented projects in Europe and in the Middle East. Passionate about community-based development, feminism and activism, she is involved in a wide range of groups and projects.
She speaks French, English and German.
Lovemore Nemerai
M&E Expert
Lovemore Nemerai, a seasoned Monitoring and Evaluation Expert from Zimbabwe, aligns with Arqaam’s ethos of ethical business practices and impact creation. With expertise in Disaster Management, Health, WASH, and more, he drives change through evidence-based decisions and innovative solutions like machine learning. Lovemore’s background in Statistics, M&E, and Big Data Analytics makes him a valuable asset to Arqaam’s mission.
He is fluent in English, Shona, and Ndebele.
Myriam Zekagh
Researcher & Project Manager
Myriam is a French social science researcher and project manager based in Germany. Her objective is to contribute to the design and implementation of programmes with a positive social impact, in and outside of Europe. To do so, she uses management and evaluation methods that empower the targeted populations, by ensuring they have ownership over programme & project outcomes.
She speaks French, English, and German.
Dr. Paniz Musawi Natanzi
Independent Researcher and Consultant
Paniz is a Leipzig-based independent feminist researcher and consultant in the field of gender, migration and labour (geo)politics. She is passionate about centre-staging marginalised knowledges through decolonising practices and learning transnationally from and with activists and communal stakeholders about sensible and sustainable ways to foster social transformation.
She speaks Farsi, German and English.
Purity Ngare
Health and M&E Expert
Purity is a Kenya-based Sociologist and Psychologist. She has conducted M&E in many African countries – making her a guru in the logframe world. She can accurately discern concepts and situations – either in an under-the-tree-meeting with an African Chief or wading through floods to visit project beneficiaries.
She speaks Kikuyu, Luo, Sesotho, Swahili and English.

Rami is a Tunis-Based Data & Analytics enthusiast with a passion for using data for good causes.

Rim Trad
Intern
Rim Trad comes from Lebanon and is currently based in Germany. She holds a Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations and a Bachelor in Journalism. She has experience in journalism, research, and in a grassroots organization working with migrant women. She is interested in feminist, post-colonial, and counter hegemonic narratives.
She speaks Arabic, English, French and German.
Viwe Kutu
Junior M&E Expert
Viwe Kutu is an emerging M&E Specialist who uses data to inform decision-making. She
designs data collection tools, conducts research, and builds M&E systems.Viwe brings linguistic diversity to her work in South Africa. Her strengths include effective communication of complex data and a collaborative spirit. Viwe is passionate about community development, capacity building and outside work, she enjoys music and singing.

Nour
Critical thinker, social media teacher, VJ
Nour is a critical thinker, social media teacher and video jokey for Arqaam. They are best known for their media work in the “Decolonise This!”-Series, where they host short video essays around colonialism and decolonisation. Nour enjoys presenting their favourite thinkers around issues of race, gender, philosophy and ethics for Arqaam and hopes to contribute to global conversations around current “state of affairs” in the international humanitarian and development world.

Role Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our team. This is a flexible role, allowing you to choose your working hours within an 8-hour framework per week.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage bookings and scheduling.
– Maintain and update office records, databases, and filing systems.
– Handle administrative tasks using tools like Word, Excel, and Lex Office (simple book-keeping).
– Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
Requirements:
– Legal eligibility to work in Germany.
– Fluency in English and German.
– Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lex Office (training available for Lex Office).
